and what would the best flowing heads be? split port or single port?

Couldn't tell ya I haven't researched them... I would bet the split port ones would be a little better, but thats only cause they have a better valve train... so when it comes down to flow i think they are pretty even...

but after market wise im not sure, what ever money can buy ... that would be the best heads

It would appear as though the hogged out single ports are best for WFO
drag racing & the split ports have better throttle response throughout
the RPM range for street.

you would have to get a tune whe you do this anyways. the maf will be screwed up because its sensing to much air coming in that its not used to. leave stuff like porting to the professionals anyways, they know what they are doing and sometimes when you do porting yourself you can actually lose hp because you grind things off that you actually need.

as far as performance goes Gary's car showed that split port is BEYOND clearly the way to go

sorry single port guys...matts car is impressive but next to garys its a tear drop down matts face IMO

Matt probably has the BEST possilbe heads on his single port but with 28psi he still cannot touch Gary ON FULL RACE GAS AND TUNE

Gary, split port, custom upper just like matt...half the boost MORE power, mix gas..

the heads and intake flow better on the split port.

some of this is FALSE such as the tunning
if anything the MAF might be reading less then what the cylinder is used to getting. either way the MAF should adjust and read correctly.
with a tune i can adjust my car from say i was tunned at 8psi. i can go to 4psi, 6psi, 8psi and 10psi no problem
and thats MUCH bigger air pressure that the sensor is reading over an N/a motor

as for porting IF you ported to large the its beyond gasket size you will LOSE power and blow gaskets
and poor shape will include poor flow or to much turbulance in the flow decreasing power rather then earning any
