V6 stang, where to began modding?

Hey guys, my dad just bought my little sister one of those stangs with the pink stripes. it's an '07 white convert. I think it's to help support breat cancer awareness or something. Anyways she wants to lower it and get wheels and do the basic boltons. Where do I began with these cars? I have never driven or owned V6er, so any help is must appreciated.

dual exhaust, tuner, gears/t-lok, if you dont have emisions you can run LTs with an o/r midpipe...or else youll have to have a custom catted shorty mid-pipe to use the LTs. maybe some UD pulleys.

Are long tubes just as hard to install as they are on my 4v? If they are then forget it. I have already picked out a set of 20" wheels for it and Nitto 555. I can take care of the drivelie and suspension, I just don't know what these motors respond well too. I also don't want her car to be loud. Neither does she, we want the quietest perf. exhaust that we can get. Once again thanks for the help.

No, prob with the tuner, I can get her a diablo, MM for the suspension components, but exhaust is where I don't know what in your guys opinion is the quietest. I ran flow 40's on my mach now I have borla stingers, mac o/r pro chamber and kooks lt's, but that is pretty loud. She just wants some performance. Plus I rode in it, and it's a bit of a dog for our likings.

I would start with an intake and a tune. With the exhaust things get heated, but I have gone through a few things (Borlad, MRT, GTAs, GT takeoffs), but the quietest with good sound that I have tried was a simple GT takeoff which you can sill use if you go duals. You should be able to find one locally for 50-100 if you're lucky someone will just want to offload it and chuck it for free.

You know how girls are. If she would have gotten a GT my dad would have had it painted pink that is his little princess, his last of 4 children, 3 girls and me the only boy.

well youre in luck cuz just about all catbacks for the 4.0 v6 are pretty quiet. id go wit longtubes, o/r h, and a catback wit flow super 44s(lil bit quieter than 40s).

besides exhaust, the starter mods are:

-ud pulleys
-gears
-t lock
-flash tuner

and if you wanna get into more bolt ons theres:

-eibach sportlines(2" drop)
-tokico blue shocks and struts(needed wit the drop)
-caster camber plates(also needed wit drop)
-aluminum driveshaft
-coil pack, plugs and wires
-shift kit

Super 44's are close but are actually a bit louder than the 40s.

Headers are a lot easier on the 6 than on the 8. More room to work with, longtubes are supposed to be rough still, but there arent too many out there and they usually arent a begining mod. anyway this is pretty much the read you were looking for, its long but its VERY thorough

Collective + Mustang Enthusiast Magazine Top 10 4.0 V6 Upgrades - The Mustang Collective Forums

Once again I'd stick with the basics, intake tune and exhaust and it should be running great (I just went duals and it makes it deeper than any axleback I've tried to date, MUCH better sound so you may want to consider the pypes system its cheaper than the frpp one).

Outside of those basics things start having drawbacks, gears you lose mileage, lsd you gotta crack the diff so it gets expensive and you may as well put gears in while you're doing that. Headers dont have much in the way of gains unless you go longtube which getting rid of the cats makes the 4.0 sound like shit. I've heard too many horror stories about pulleys on our cars to recomend one and alternator pulleys apparently NUKE the alternator after a while and I think regular crank pulleys may too.

I'd just go with the three basics, turns it into a WHOLE new car.

The most difficult part of the install...actually more tedious than hard is the EGR on the passenger side. The k-member does not need to be dropped, and like already stated...there is a decent amount of room to work with. Plus if you already did it on a 4v than this will be a walk in the park....ive seen the room to work with in a cobra/mach engine bay and f-that.

I agree, with that, I haven't put LT's on my Mach yet, but I have on my cousins GT, and my buddy's termi and they're a bitch to say the least. I ordered her a diablo predator, a bought a factory GT exhasut and rear bumper I'm going to get her a CAI, and that is it. I doubt that she will keep the car longer than 2 yrs. My other sisters don't she probably won't either.

You guys think that a 4.10 would be to much, and does that have the T-3650 like in my car? If so then I have a Steeda Tria-Ax for it. What do you guys think of this idea, GT 500 body kit, paint it white and have pink stripes, She wants pink! do you think that would look good?
