Indiglo trouble

i installed my new indiglos yesterday and spliced them into the main dark brown wire as told. Today it was hard to start but it did turn over. Then i turned down the actual dimmer and it seemed to be ok. Is this a result of the indiglos or is my battery going....? thanks ahead

has this happened before indiglos? if so could be the alt or batt going. I'm assuming the brown wire on the headlight switch? I just did my reverse glows a couple days ago and read up that the gray wire is the main wire, the gray wire only powers the gauges when the headlights are on for me.
