So about four years ago I had to part with my 2010 V6. At the time my 10yr old daughter wanted it for her first car. Since then I have been able to dodge the subject. Well she will be 16 in January. She still wants a stang and it she really wants a couple. I am looking for opinions on the best v6 couple from 1999-2004. She will be a new driver and I have a budget of 4k (for now).
In my opinion, I think all in that region are pretty good. Perhaps go for a 2001 or so, and definitely get a manual! Always good to know how to drive a manual.
01's have something different with the manifold vs the 99/01 sixxers. I believe they are more prone to cracking a part and leaking coolant BUT that's just from the top of my head. My 01 ran great the 2 years i drove it before i bought my cobra. I would buy that car back in a heart beat if i could.
That being said.. definitely get a manual. The auto was not my style.
