Color Opinions

I drive a 2006 Redfire V6 with Black rocker stripes (i have the pony package) and have been wanting to get a pair of Roush louvers. I've seen a picture of a red (i'm not sure on the shade of red because of the lighting in the pic) 2005+ mustang with Black Roush louvers and black rear panel trim to match. This pic gave me the idea to get my louvers in black to match my striping and possibly going on to paint my stock spoiler black to match the rest. What do you guys think? I can provide the picture I mentioned before if you guys want. Any opinions are appreciated, thanks in advance.

pics would be good lol....it doesnt sound too bad do u have a hood scoop on ur car? im all about symmetry so if u were gonna do the louvers and spoiler in black then i would say get like a roush hood scoop, and maybe do the sides of it in black with the top red, and leave lettering of the red showing through the black saying like mustang or watever you want thats prob wat i would do

also welcome to MM

First, welcome to the forums, hope you like it. Second, to my eye, it would look like some kid's trying to put together a lot of appearance parts without painting them or anyithing. I wouldn't like it myself...although I do like how they pulled it off with our mach 1. But I just don't think it would be the same with the 05-08's.

Thanks to both of you for your welcome and advice. No, i don't have a hood scoop on my car. I've been pretty skeptical about a hood scoop just because putting one on a stock V6 seems a little cocky. I do like your idea on how to paint it though, so I might consider it. Here's the picture I was talking about:

You worry too much. Lots of guys have scoops on their V-6s. Its not cocky! It looks mean! I got LEDS in mine...

Had to take the blue out because its illegal in FL.

Dude, scoops are awesome. Gotta get one especially on the new models. The shakers look killer.

Welcome to MM. I like the pic you put up. However, I would keep the rest of the car red...but that's just me. I also think a hood scoop would look good.

alright, you guys have convinced me. I've seen the Roush scoop in person a few times and like the look of it, and it's not bad financially speaking. I'm seriously considering it now, but haven't decided how high of a priority it is on my list of mods.

I'd go with the scoop before the louvers. However, you might want to consider some performance mods first.

Do you mean for everything? I've seen Mach 1's with flat black spoilers and have read that they're actually 70% gloss, which I think would ideally be the best way for me to paint my spoiler if I end up doing that.
