the S2k's have the K24a in them don't they? same as the rsx's that came out a few years ago?? i believe thats what the engine is... also the D17's i think it was... not 16 but 17 ... horrible honda motors no potential at all...

also i would like to note that my story a page or two back is true and the guy couldn't drive... he almost stalled it off the line...

The new SI's are much quicker than a common civic so be a lil leary about what car he actually has and take into account the modifications you have as well. If its not an SI and he doesn't have any major perf. upgrades...GO for it!

no i just have a V6. but yea i the guy i know has a blue one and he put a supercharger on it recently. if you want to race him i might be able to get a hold of him.

I would say that a v-6 mustang with that would take that car. My friend has that car with a bunch o other stuff done to it and i took it with duel exhaust 3 in pipes, and a cai. It depends on the driver too. lol

if your talking about an si and you drive a v6 w/ JUST those mods, the si wouldve beat the piss out of you

ugh. the GSR b18c1 is not the best dohc b series vtec engine, the type R b18c5 is, or jdm b18c.

And its hard to say would you take him. it depends on the chassis the engine is in. a b18 ls in an ef would tear him a new one, the same motor in a newer heavier chassis and the winner isn't as certain.

virtually anything with a B series engine in it will most likely take you, either by a little, or by a lot. if he has a sohc vtec engine you have nothing to worry about. i dunno if you'd destroy him but you should still win.

also it's vtec, not vtek, vtech, or vtak! stands for variable valve timing and lift electronic control. heres a video that illustrates how it functions

Also GFaleen, technically your car doesn't have the equivalent. if you had VVTL-i , then it would :p

Torres: what you said was true about the intake valves being held open longer, but that specifically applies only to sohc vtec engines, since the intake is held open longer but exhaust is not effected. with a dohc vtec engine not only are there seperate cams for intake and exhaust but each one independantly has the duration changed when vtec kicks in. This is why you really can hear vtec engage on b series/k series engines, but cannot on d series.

And your comparing a slow car to a slow car..

Any car can be fast with the right amount of money. But, that car is still weak. Go drive one. You'll see the same exact thing I said I felt. If you're not on it.. it doesn't have a go-go power. It's a bitch just to enter onto the freeway.. And I still didn't get dusted by a new Si.. So.. I wasn't wrong in the clubhouse. The GT isn't comparibly fast to other v8's and I remain unimpressed by your "coolness"

well I still have longer valve opening I just dont have higher valve opening thats all L is is lift I have the longer valve opening just not the higher valve opening, so its close enough

Next time you race this 10psi jackson rsx, get a video. I don't think theirs a way in hell you can hang with it until 3rd gear.

if I run him back home I will, i think he needs to play with his tune, cause there is a blue one here in Raleigh that blows me out of the water with the same setup, but my friend back home just falls on his face till 3rd
