Acceleration problem since filter cleaning

I have a CAI and recently cleaned the filter. Since the cleaning/re-oiling and reinstallation, my car does not seem to be as responsive (odd considering it worked better dirty). There is about a .5-full second delay when going from cruising to full throttle in mid-rpms. What happened???

What will that do and how to do it?

My filter was generously coated but obviously not dripping wet.

So spray some dielectric cleaner on the lil metal thingers that hang in the MAF housing and then unplug and replug the battery?

autozone, and dont use compressed air, it doesnt let the oil settle right and soak into the cotton you need to let it dry over night, buy a cheap paper filter to use while it is drying.

all the oil does is stops water from getting to the engine

It also helps grab dust and pollen, etc from the air.

yeah super small particles, but if you dont reoil it it wont be devastating to you engine unless you get in a downpour and your filter gets soaked
