trouble shifting....
I decide to take a about a 30 mile trip today and im like 5-10 miles from where im suppose to be and it becomes really hard for me to shift into 1st gear at a stand still. same goes for all the other gears while driving but not quite as bad as 1st. also reverse from a stand still is also a bitch to get...unfortunantly i had to drive it all the way back home this way too. i found that shifting into first gear while still moving in the process of coming to a stop was easier than waiting till i was stopped to shift it. im not sure whats wrong....i was thinking the clutch but wouldnt i be grinding the gears if that was the case? i was thinking more along the lines of something being like binded up? is there anyway way for the shifter to bind at all?

they are the things that hold and allow you to go into gear, as well as lock you out they are like gate keepers

i personally would just buy a junkyard tranny
this job isnt easy and nothing for a beginner even myself i would double take before doing it. you'll have to remove the tranny(obviously) pull the bearings on the input shaft(seals before of course) take the transmission top cover case off slowly pull all your gears off watch for snap rings.. also pull the shift forks before even giving directions i'll have to go back because theres shit i cant remember unless im in front of the tranny. are you more in northern florida? mid or south? this isnt the easiest job. i'd rather do a head gasket

dude t-5's aint too hard...once u get it off the car it will take you like 15 mins to take it all apart and about 30 mins to put it back together..just make sure everything goes back into the right spot...but definately dont do it if you dont feel comfortable doing it. Make sure on the slider gear u got the bevel to the front and all your snap rings back in the right way...and test the shift before you put it back on the car.

Tools your gonna need to rebuild your Manual Tranny if you dont have them or cant borrow them your looking to spend some money on them along with your rebuild kit so just grab yourself a used or refurbished one if you know whats best for you. I rebuilt an Auto C-5 twice actually because i forgot the reverse pin the first time. And Ive replaced 3rd gear in a M21 and replaced syncros in a T-5 its tedious work and internal parts dont bend they break just so you know. If you didnt know what syncros are then you prolly dont wanna rebuild a transmission. Goodluck
Tools needed for Manual Tranny rebuild Metric socket(s) and ratchet (13mm) 7/8” open end wrench (reverse light) 3/16” diameter punch Retaining ring pliers 6” or 8” calipers 1” travel dial indicator dial indicator stand 4” C-clamp Two-jaw puller, 6-1/2” reach (Craftsman (9)46903) File, flat Parts washer or many cans of carb cleaner! Air compressor and air nozzle Regular screwdrivers (2 each: large, medium, small) 3/8” or 1/2” diameter punch (I use a Chevrolet fuel pump pushrod) Foot-pound torque wrench Dremel w/ cut-off wheel (for marking synchro hubs/rings) T40 and T50 Torx bits Bearing separator (SK 4-1/4”) and 14” long threaded rods (5/8”-18 NF) that fit it Shop press (optional, but makes life much easier) Valco Tube-Grip (RTV sealant dispenser; the best $15 I ever spent!) 1-7/8” O.D. x 1–1/4” to 1-3/8” I.D. x 5-1/2” long pipe (for cluster bearings)
