Car Accident Today, Real Bummer

well some guy did a backwards u-turn if you can picture that right in front of me and i hit his front passenger side quarter panel while attempting to swirve out to the way. i was so close to hitting a pole my car was touching it. i miraculously ended up on the side walk between a street sign and a 3 steel posts. i think its all cosmetic damage but im gonna need an entirley new drivers side. should i sell it or fix it?

my brother n his friend got in a crash,, with each other, one of the doors cant close and both cars have about $1,000 in damage....all cuz they flicked some guy off who they cut off and the guy punch their car so my brother tried to hit him with a car and instead hit his friends car. then my bro's friend went crazy with a bat and hit the kids car and did about $4k in damage easy.

but the police were called on them now their in deep shit

ive never heard of a backwards U-turn ....im guessin he did a u-turn in reverse?! if so then thats his fault....for being a dumbass

well the letter to best describe the turn would be an O. he was going straight, than he turned left into opposing traffic, and swung right into the direction i was going and i hit his passenger side front bumper. the cop said it was my fault because he was infront of me, but he wasnt until i hit him, i had open road in front of me. my airbags went off tho, so isnt that gonna cost like 2000 to replace plus the damage is gonna be about 1400.

Hold it I know a guy who turned into opposing traffic like that trying to do a u-turn and a cop nailed him. The kid got the ticket. Now I really don't know whos fault it would be.

i'd deffinitly say its the other guys fault...it'd be his fault if the guy was in front of him driving in front the whole time...but something random like that...its not like he canstop on a dime....
i'd take that to court and have his insurance cover that

thats bullsit

o ok good, i was real worried about the whole airbag thing i thought that was gonna be alot. wut ill probly do is jsut get the car checked and get a new headlight, and dirve it how it is until i have the money to fix it.
yea im goin to pick up the report today and find out how i can fight that, cause im really pissed that its my fault for what he did. the only damage im worried about is the driverside front wheel well

I totaled my 98 3.8 mustang last October. Both airbags went off. Each airbag costs about $1000 new. The airbag control module costs about $300 new. Each airbag sensor costs about $100. The clock spring ususally doesn't need to be replaced.

The bill for the parts to fix my airbags was about $2500 in new parts alone. I ended up buying a used set off of ebay for $600. It came with a control module too. I had to do a lot of research, but I CAREFULLY installed them myself, reset the module, and the airbag system checked out great.

Once I got the new radiator support welded in, the frame straightened, new fenders, new hood, new radiator, new cooling fan, new headlights, new header panel, new bumper reinforcement, new bumper, and new intercooler, the car was ready to go again.

yea i got the same report from the body shop today, he said its gonna be like a minimum of 3500. so this really sucks. i went to precint today and the cop still doesnt believe me, the guy moved the van into a "good" spot and the cop thinks thats where i hit him, so its all my fault.
my gf dad said hes gonna give me a station wagon in the mean time so i hope everything works out. i payed 5200 for the car and now i have to worry about 3500. do any of you think that its worth it? or how much $$$ could i get out of it now?
