exhaust cutout placement


i just orderd lt headers and o/r h pipe and allready have a catback and was thinking about geting those electric cutouts also. where would be the best place to put them in? as close to the headers or more to the mufflers? thanks

1 electric cut out is expensive enough
i wouldnt do it for a bolt on v6 though or stock motor

if you get cut outs just be lazy and get the screw off ones... they are way cheaper... and you want them between the header collector and the cross over

+1 the bolt on bolt ones are easy to take on and off, not worth the big $$$ for electric

wouldnt that hurt power on a stock motor because of the loss of backpressure?
