i dis agree. i think (if your car is stock) its faster just leaving it in d.. if u just throw it n drive n hammer it itl go all the way to ur limiter (which bein stock is like 5k) itl b faster doing that than shifting.. of course thats my opinion

ive actually did the 1,2,3,d and i think its faster doing that bc you can rev higher but its not good to do that so do the safest thing

you wont make anymore power doing that unless it shifts right into your powerband in the next gear, if not then you'll just be putting extra strain on the engine

+1 all about keeping the rpm's where the engine makes the most power.

doesn't feel like spelling anymore
but seriously do some research on your powerband and when your auto needs to shift to get it back into it in the next gear before you just raise your rev another thousand.
p.s. mines already at 6

does not help you at all.

Autos are better at the track anyways for how consistent they are. Just tune your auto and your good. Don't go through the shifts. It's pointless.

thats only good for the 1/4 mile so you go thru the traps at nearly 6k rpm in 3rd gear instead of shifting into o/d right before the traps
