black spots?

Checked the tranny fluid today. The color was nice n pink but there were a couple really tiny "black" or dark spots that came off on the paper towel. At first I thought it was metal shavings but when I touched them, they "smeared"... almost like tar or oil. But the spots are very tiny.

WTF? Anyone know if this is normal or what could be in there? I just got a flush and fill about 6-8 months back.

best thing to do is to check you fluids if you havent already done so, and if you have and cant tell anything then look under the car to see if you see anything.

??? he did check the fluid...that's why he's posting. He wants to know what the spots in the fluid are. speaking of...sorry I'm not sure on that one. I would have said flush the system, but you've already done that.
