Welded Differential?


Well me and my friend who has a 240sx were talking about purchasing a limited slip differential for our cars... ganna run me $189 plus shipping. He tells me he looked in to welded differentials which do the same thing. Can anyone explain this to me?

Not a good idea for a street car, turning would be a b*tch considering one wheel won't be able to spin faster than the other. Stick with a posi / trac-loc setup... just as much traction (if not more sometimes) and street friendly.
