Want to learn more...

hey all, still a newbie trying hard to expand my knowledge abt modding my stang. I had done some simple stuff like installing CAI and stuff on my 98 v6 but i wanna get some really heavy stuff for my 07. . I dont wanna rush into it with out any info so i thought i would post here to get some pointers. I have some plan about changing to a dual cat back exhaust but i have no idea where to go from there. Appreciate all your help.

Well you have the turbo or super opption intake and you can go to any muffler shop and get true dule its better performance... if you want i can list a cupple site for performance parts... but the turbo for these ar so bad ass you can go up to 450rwhp with the turbo alone

better flow then a Y thats its, true DUAL is the second shittiest flow you can get which is also second shittiest performance
a muffler shop would be cheaper...but i'd rather spend an extra $20 on something that will last longer and give you much better performance...such as an H or X pipe...perferably H

cool...H pipe seems like the way to go. A friend of mine said that too. Maybe i will get started on that and look into s/c or turbo options after that. Thanks ppl.

doesnt matter if you get an h or an x-pipe. H sounds better at low rpms and X is louder, but you have to remember on the essex motor...loud is not good. It's an even fire engine so you will just sound like a mean civic. Yes, thats an oxymoron I know. Also it's better to have your plan of what you want to do with your car before you really do anything. If you plan on supercharger get longtubes for your headers, shorty h-pipe, and the catback of your choice. Thats the same setup you should do for nitrous, or n/a. But if you choose to go with turbo your best bet is just get a midpipe and a catback. Since then when you get the turbo kit you will have the turbo headers especially if you order from www.tmaturbo.com

Ok I see what ur saying....i would rather have a kit that puts our more hp than one that sounds better (even if it sounds like a mean civic *sarcasm by the way*) :wink. I will research a lil bit more. Thanks ppl.

itschristorres8: i was just wondering ur reason behind not recommending s/c or turbo right after exhaust change. thnx.

Because if you get a turbo kit you will have shelled out money for an exhaust system you will have to change anyway. You would still be able to use your new exhaust if you supercharge it though.
