[quote=Lankolf;1023005]Actually I probably could get find you a 8.8 for 350 bucks, however the whole Virgina thing is going to bump that price up .
From what I've been able to tell UPS will ship it for $150. That would be $200 pure profit.

We had six Mercedes come in today, and not one had a turbo But I think the Volvo twin turbo method is the way I should go. If anybody has seen my wicked hood scoop (courtesy of my own hard work ), I think they might agree it would be a great place to put an intercooler similar to these?

I also found a lot of piping today that will come in handy. I need to start carrying my camera around with me

Okie, maybe I'll take my AC radiator out, I never use AC anyhow, and put the intercooler in it's place.

your trying to do to much work dude...

did you grab the flanges for that turbo there?? also... once you start piecing together your kit i suggest you look at STREET KIT for piping ideas and shit... thats going to be a great place to start...

chris, where is your waste gate piped to?? is it just piped back into the down pipe?

Okie, my plan is to grab a couple of turbos off of a couple of saabs, with the exhaust manifolds. I plan to attach a turbo after each header so I have a turbo on both sides, then maybe my o2 sensors will read relatively the same. I have steel piping for connecting the dual exhaust, and for hooking up to the air filter, then to the intercooler, then to the throttle body. Those little sleeves for connecting the piping I can get for free. If I should use aluminum piping for the intake, I can probably get a hold of that, we have an entire metals facility at the yard, and we also have a maintenance shop with a hydro lift so I can do all the installation with ease. I'll cut and machine the old manifold to hook up the the end of my headers, custom rig up some steel lines from my oil pump to get oil to them, and then re-program my computer to keep pumping oil until the turbo slows down. The turbos should have internal wastegates. What else is there to it?

Use the stock headers. You put the right one on the left and the left on the right. That way they are facing forward like you need them to be for the turbo.

I'll get it all figured out when I get all the parts. We had 2 Mercedes 300s come in, one turboless, and the other robbed of the turbo We also had a Saab 900 come in today! I was so excited, then I found out it was the turboless model But they guy I talked to said he would sell me any Saab turbo I wanted for a 100 bucks each. I think I can get them for about 20 bucks each if I'm patient though. I think I mentioned I found an intercooler and some piping already, so slowly I'm accumulating the parts I need. I'm kind of excited right now for a lot of reasons, I got a free K&N cold air intake with allum piping today, as well as the intercooler, so I think I'll set up and intercooler system for the time being until I'm totally ready for the turbo setup. I'm also extremely excited that this Saturday I am getting my 65 out of storage ang resuming work on it again!

$15.00

I installed the CIA today and I placed the intercooler, but I haven't gotten it piped yet. The CIA sits too low to the ground, and my buddies driveway is a deathtrap for low cars anyway, so I gave it a slight scraping The intercooler looks like a cheapy anyway, so I might ask my uncle if I can give it back in exchange for something better when something better catches my eyes. It's too dark to get pictures of my car right now, but I'll get them tommorow. Oh, and one last thing, my other favorite toy

Okie okie, so picky Onemanzu! I'll find better Thanks for all the help by the way.

P.S. I'll never pay 44 dollars for an intercooler.

edit: opps, never say never! I will probably find cheaper rather than spend 44 bucks, but if I get desperate, I'll remember
