K04 off of a Audi S4 ... particularly 98-2001... if possible... my next car is going to be an A4 and a popular modification is to upgrade the turbo on it to the K04 ... If you ever see any come by holler at me dude... im in no hurry what so ever cause i wont be coming in to possession of this car until june... or so

now there are more then just the S4 that will work, such as the TT and rs4 and rs6's... if you get some of those through your yard give me a call dude... ill pm you my phone number

Okie okie, laugh it up, but I done mounted up that intercooler. It's a bitch to keep it from hitting shit though. I have to be careful. I'll pipe it when I get some better pipes, but it ought to be easy to set up as a temporary little hp gain while I wait for my perfect turbo. I might switch to a better intercooler as I get more educated and as other cars come in. This intercooler come out of a 95' Honda Civic. (I know, I hate Honda too, but I look at it like my Pony is eating the leftovers of a long crushed pos. I'll have to get some pictures of us crushing a honda or something)

... some people aren't fans of the M112, plus with the sudden increase in demand they are getting a little hard to find and its becoming a very common thing to do...

ALSO the M112 adapter is made for a split port engine and he has a single port... so he would have to spend another $500 to do a conversion and then he would have to piece together the cobra parts he needs which might be out of his budget of $10.00

Aye, I'll wait until I come across a couple of Saab 900s Turbos and use those. After I finish the setup, a while down the road from now I'm guessing, I'll write a guide on how to twin turbo a 96-98 Mustang v6 for cheap. Afterwards I'll actually spend a little money and get it dyno tested.

Two things. A) that intercooler is hanging WAY TOO LOW. B) If you put a TT on your car you need to get it tuned RIGHT AWAY! If not it's gonna go boom. Just to give you a heads up about that.

Computer tuned, right? About the intercooler, I can't get it any higher and still connect the hoses unless I start cutting my car, and that may hurt the integrity of the structure. It's never a good idea to be cutting a unibody up too much.

So what do I need to tell the computer? That more air is going to be packing into the cylinder? Where can I find a computer tuning software/hardware? This is where I'm willing to put the real money.

How do I set up the wastegate? The Saab 900s have internal wastegates, right?

Edit: Also note, this is my daily driver, I'm not looking to build a 350 HP monster from hell, I'd be happy with between 250-300 at the crank, so really like 220-270 at the wheels or something like that. Really I just like the idea of keeping up with a GT while still getting respectable fuel economy. I'll turn my 65 into the gas hog weekend warrior.

+1 a dyno tune is best however, if you click on the link in my sig you can get an SCT tuner that will help you out a lot. You can actually get an ok tune from joe that will last until you get to a dyno. Plus be aware that a lot of dyno tuner require you to have a handheld tuner...so it is something to consider. If you can't get the intercooler to hang higher, I would consider getting a body kit. You need to hide that thing. Talk to chris though. He might be able to give you some tips on getting it up higher.
