chris, what kinda paint can be used on exhaust systems? like what did you use on your headers? (yes headers did some research and came to the conclusion that your system does infact use headers not manifolds )
You're going to want to use high heat paint. No I'm not being a smartass...that is actually what it's called. You can find it at most automotive stores.

Don't worry about it, I have Chevy Red good up to 2k* F. Just Kidding. Well I have the paint, but... Nevermind.

I'll cut and machine the Saab manifold so that it fits like a spacer. I'll buy (yeah I said it) a blow off valve when I need it. It's rather moot at this point, I'm still collecting items I'm going to need, and I still have A LOT to learn before I throw this thing together on a Sunday afternoon with the boys, a 12 pack in the garage with the game on.

Okie, this is food for thought. I think I'll put my battery in my trunk and put the turbos like this One on each side. I think I can make this work

Wadepertersen, I found a turbo off of a Saab 9000. It's a tad bit different than my turbo, so I won't use it, do you want it?

Onemanzu, I'm still on the look out for an Audi

I'll pull the actual turbo, the manifold, and the oil lines too if I have time tommorow morning. I'll get pictures then. No promises, but about a 80%+ chance if I get up early enough.

I'll probably need 20 bucks to cover the cost of the turbo, and then shipping and handling, but I'll PM you when I get the numbers figured out. Speaking of which, Onemanzu, you gonna PM your contact info so I can get your headers?

DUDE! I was pulling to turbo today (I didn't have enough time to finish, will do tommorow if the weather allows, supposed to snow in Colorado). Anyway, I started pulling this turbo and I found out it's cooled by coolant rather than oil! That's great, because it means it'll stay cooler than a normal oil cooled turbo, which means it'll last longer. It's a Garret blah blah blah, so you know this is a real quality turbo. I'll get the spect on it after I finishing pulling it.

Antifreeze, you know, a line from the radiator goes to the turbo Maybe it's just where I'm from, but we just call antifreeze coolant round' ol cornfield Colorado.

It's in good shape man. I called in sick today because I'm a pansy and didn't want to work in the shitty weather. I'll get it tomorrow. It's one of those, "I ain't getting outta bed today" days.

As far as my turbo project goes, I havn't really done much, except run a little bit of piping from the intercooler to the throttle body. I may have to change that around a lot though because I think the way I'm doing it won't leave me enough room for the turbo. My plan is to get my 65 running good enough to get me back and forth from work and then when I have a second car to drive I'll start putting the turbo together.
