4r70w and the AODE are the same transmission AODE is just the discription (automatic over drive with electronic shifting) 4r70w is the transmission code
and 94-04 all have the aode/4r70w also transgo is junk get b&M or a Jmod

there are tiny differences between the two but all in all they are the same transmission...i think its somethin to do with the gear ratios

its the shift solenoids, they changed the signal pattern in 96 and upgraded them to better systems in 99 but it wont change how the transmission will act on the car

its a type of shift modification process developed by an old ford tech, someone should post the site where you can order it at
and yeah it should be straight forward

go with a normal one the transgo one is a joke it disconnects some stuff in the tranny you can still do the full manual shift thing with the j-mod

If you get a shift kit you should stay auto. An auto with a shift kit will always outshift a manual.
