Blower or 4.6

Im not sure if i want to eventually blow my v6 or just do a 4.6 swap. I have a 2004 3.9. The v8 could eventually create more power, but how many v6 ppl actually have a blown v6? I want to keep the stang a daily driver. Which way would be cheaper?

i personally would say turbo if u want a dd...a blower is gonna cause parasitic loss constantly through the rpms, and it will hit ur gas mileage...if u go with a turbo u can get extremely close to the stock gas mileage, and its easier to upgrade later on if u go with forged internals down the road...another thing is the turbo and the blower go for roughly the same price for kits...also with a turbo the power is there when u need it or want to show off, but it doesnt put as much strain on the engine as the supercharger does since it kicks in in later rpms, plus u can control it with a turbo timer...the swap of a 3.8 to a 4.6 really isnt worth it unless u get all the stuff for free, its cheaper to go get a 4.6L gt if thats wat u wanna have.

for prices ur looking at most likely 4-5k for a blower or turbo setup, and for the engine swap its cheaper, a lot of elbow grease though, and u will only get wat u pay for out of the engine, plus who knows who has had it and y they are trying to get rid of it and watnot

and finally, welcome to the forums

either way ur gonna have to use premium gas so its gonna cost more to fill up anyway, but since the turbo isnt runnin hardcore all the time and its using wasted energy to create energy its considered to be more efficient

Wouldnt that be a lot more work though? Wouldnt a 302 be the easiest and cheapest?

351 would be the same as the 302 its a direct drop in for a 302

As much as I would love to say 4.6....

Stroke your 3.8 to a 4.2 with forged internals and throw an M112 on top, or turbo it.
