Sorry this is the last post about exhaust

I apologize in advance for yet another exhaust thread.

Please let me know if i have these drawings completely wrong as to where the parts are located.

I'd appreciate if you could answer the questions on the drawing. i know they arent very good.

I wanna make sure i know whats going on under my car tomorow morning...

This is what I have correct?

This is Cat-back correct?

This is what i should do? (true dual)

I need to know mainly if the above is "true duals" and if $400 is what this should cost me.

thanks!

You can still have a true dual system with cats, they just cut your y-pipe after the cats and split into an hipe pipe like the last picture you have above. The y-pipe occurs after the cats not before them like you have drawn.

Yeah man...sorry but all but your last drawing are wrong. As for the last drawing, as said you can keep your cats and still have a true dual setup. BTW...the biggest problem with most of those drawings is the placement of the cats. Just go to the shop and tell them that you want a true dual setup...they'll know what to do. $400 is a pretty good price for a complete system. However, YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE THE SHOP DOESN'T CRUSH BEND THEIR PIPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

so if the cats are BEFORE the Y..that means i have two of them?

Also, does that mean getting "true dual" shouldnt cost more that getting the y pipe?

On our cars there are 4 in total. The way your picture showed they were gonna be chopped out making it a more costly setup, if you remove the cats you would need mil eliminators or a tune to keep your engine running properly. As you will get improper readings coming from the o2 sensors.

Trust me (as long as you like the mufflers you chose) you will very happy with this mod. I LOVE my true dual setup.

+1 also it is illegal to have no cats in most states.

Also you need to decide on if you want dumps or tips. I prefer tips...but it is really all personal preference. The dumps will be cheaper.
