If it is similar to the automatic, the two top bellhousing to engine bolts are very hard to get to. I removed the upper intake manifold (so I could see them) and used a box end (combination) wrench (13 mm I believe) and piece of pipe to loosen them. I saw somewhere else a suggestion to allow the back of the transmission to come down to get access, probably from underneath the car. In that case of course have at least one other bolt on each side so the transmission doesn't fall out.

Thnx for all the help guys I've almost got the bellhousing off. I just have to take the starter off and then the clutch from there. Just for future reference i used a 3/8" swivel adaptor for the 13mm socket to break the bolts loose...it wasn't easy and i got a bloody elbow outa the deal but it worked!! lol now do i have any more surprises to look forward to while removing the clutch and pressure plate?
