Premium or regular gas

I have a 2002 v6 mustang. I also have a K&N CAI and a o/r h-pipe and
the Magnaflows GT catbacks dual exhaust system. A friend told me i sh-
ould be using premium gas instead of regular, because of the system that
i have. Can someone tell me if this is true.

No, use what the car is tuned for. If you have a factory tune, you will waste money since your timing is not in any way altered. I am tuned for 93+ octane, and that is the only reason I use it.

AB is right. No reason or benefit to using premium unless your car has been tuned outside of it's factory settings.

lol idk what your friend was thinking (no offense) but with those mods its not needed at all.
i dont know when you'd have to move up but even with full bolt ons you'll be fine on regular gas

no matter the mods, without change in timing, 87 octane is needed b/c that is what the computer is setup to run factory

you will be a tad bit faster with a higher octane, but it is not needed and wont help very much because your car will not be able to take full advantage of it, with a tune this can be a different story...
