It's Like An Earthquake When I Hit 60!

i have a 01 v6 auto and when i get to 60MPH and higher my car shakes severely!! i feel like it's going to fall apart.. lol the other day i was doing about 110ish on the interstate and i had to slow down cuz the shaking was so horrible.. does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

alignment, wheels, motor mounts?

does it only shake at that speed? is it rpm-related? does it do anything odd at idle?

the only time it shakes is at 60MPH plus.. at idle and any speed below that it's completely normal.. you are probably right about the alignment thanks :-)

Have your tires checked for balance, also could be a driveshaft balance issue as well but check the tires first.

i had that problem on my suburban. it got worse so we took it to a tire shop and they took the tire off and found water and i ice chunks from the change in weather.

what are you doin drivin 110 on the interstate for anyways? More than likely it is prob your alignment. I have that problem right now.

probably something simple like the guys above me sed, alignment, tires etc...
time for a regular maintence check up
and tune up

well.... lol it was about 1am and no one was around.. why go slow anyway?? all you guys are probably right.. it's probably something simple, i guess i'll be visiting a mechanic soon lol thanks :-)

LOL Same here when I got mines I had the same issue @ 70 MPH .... so i took it to my workshop and had the suka fixed, never had i had a problem with my wheels again
