Super Charger

hey i have a 04 mustang v6 convet/auto. and i was wondering what all i would need to do if i decided to get a supercharger in the future and if i would need to make any other modifications to my engine? i'm planning on getting a tlock and gears before the super charger but i didn't know if there would be any major problems or anything i needed to do other then just by it and have someone put it on.

also if you guys know of any good ones.

8.8 rear is a must pretty much. so dont get gears for the 7.5 that you have now if you plan on getting the s/c

VMP has a procharger with everything you need. its kinda pricey-$4,500 about but well worth it. most s/c kits wont have everything u need for it like that one. plus that one will start yyou at 11psi whihc aint bad

you could buy it and put it on now. with the 8.8 rear and have it safely tuned.

my suggestion
get long tubes, full exhaust. 2.5 or thicker
8.8 rear with 3.73's, 4.10 is a lot of gear for a s/c
some forged internals
and your set for a s/c. you'll be safe with the forged internals

remember a good safe tune is the MAIN thing for keeping your engine safe

yea, ive seen a 3psi s/c clip. idk what kinda it was though

but i think roots s/c will start you off at like 5-6psi. someone on here has an eaton s/c he should knows....i think there a bit more $$ though...
vortech i think starts off at 9psi and they make procharger kits at 9psi also

but i'd suggest the VMPtuning's 11psi procharger just because ppl say the have good quality stuff and that s/c comes with everything you need...im pretty sure it does.
