for the 4.0 do you know what size turbo
the oil is feed to the turbo from your motor
best idea is to use synthetic oil and change it still every 3k miles. lubricating the turbo is critical and your engine oil is what does that. just change your oil regularly

for starters i'd start out with 7-9psi
should have you at over 350rwhp with 9psi
or about there which is sick!

deffinitly post pictures. i have a turbo myself but on the 3.8(2000)
you wont regret it

people think its hard to maintain a turbo dont let anyone fool you. if you change your oil regularly your good

also if you dont have a turbo timer.
when you start your car wait about 30seconds before moving and then you can go. heres the BIG one. if you just finished racing or stepping on it, you want to wait at least 1min before you shut the car off when you park. if you were being nice and driving normal you can get away with about 15-30 seconds cause the turbo shouldnt be spooling that much

lastly dyno tune it and enjoy!

the psi is done thru the wastegate spring or a boost controller

The turbo is capable of that much, yes. Whether your read end, trans, block can handle that much, im not really to sure. Look into it before you do anything drastic! haha.

i dont run one.
it bothers me to walk away from my car while its on
ask what psi or boost level the shop is tuning it too. i personally like switching springs and keeping 1 consistant amount of boost. it probably comes with about 7psi or 8

I agree with the spring thing... i have heard horror stories of electronic ones being cheap and mechanical ones being in accurate...

i woudln't walk away, but i would turn off the car and sit in it till it turns its self off

I wouldn't say that brand matters, to be honest... you just need to make sure you don't coke oil onto the turbo

the PSI after the turbo but before the cylinder has to be contorolled in some form or else the turbo would spool indefinitely so some poeple a long time ago created this thing called a blow of valve that helps control your PSI ... some cars have computer controlled BOVs that have a very low spring rating of 4.7 psi meaning that the BOV will stay closed up until 4.7 psi of boost... Now these springs are really easy to remove and by doing so you can up the amount of PSI you are running with out having to fuck with a boost controller...

thats all the spring thing means

Don't forget a nice T-Lok for your rear-end.
And maybe 3.73 gears.

Then get ready to have a nice sleeper V8 eater.
