Engine Noises?

Everytime i turn off my car, i get this strange popping, hissing, and sizzling noise. I asked my dad about it and he said its just water and the fact that i redline makes it do that. But even when i dont redline, its still doing it. any idea what it could be?

mine does the same thing, im pretty sure its water from "places" hitting hot pipes and such. shake your car it'll hiss even more. mine does at least (i almost never redline btw)
