Question

Exhaust Manifold


ok i have a ticking nose in my enigne... my friend said it might be the gasket went out and bought it..went to install it next thing i know the flange hit the ground..is there anything i can buy to seal up around the flange or do i have to just wait and buy a new one??

ok the part where you hook up the engine and the manifold... its the place where you bolt the manifold up to the engine.. theres three of them the last one broke on the left hand side...

Seems one of the flanges broke off the exhaust manifold. You need to take the manifold out and get a new one, unless that one can be welded back together.
You would be better off with a new one.

take it to a shop and have them just weld it back together... shouldn't cost you more then $20 tops

Unless you don't want to spend the money and the pain of an install on headers, then just get it welded back on.

well i was just thinking of a temporary fix..just to stop the noise coming out of my engine.. in till i get some money to replace it!

dude i would just go ahead and get the headers it will save you a big headache and save you some time...because i just got finished doing the same thing that you are about to do...and it wasn't the gasket...it was the exhaust manifold
