Clutch Quadrant Kits...

Im trying to adjust the clutch pedal to sit lower and also to back the release bearing off of the pressure plate because for some reason its constantly against the pressure plate and making like a clicking noise at idle. will a clutch quadrant kit do this for me or no? and also if so should i get the kit or just the firewall adjuster???? clutch adjuster - JEGS High Performance

Ford uses an automatic adjustment mechanism for the clutch, and I believe the throwout bearing is supposed to be in light contact with the pressure plate at all times. From what you have said I think the clutch that was installed is defective or something is wrong with the adjuster mechanism. I remember from my Ford Escort that the clutch pedal was supposed to be propped up with a piece of wood or the like while the cable was disconnected.
