Too Loud?

I just got a 2007 v6 and love it! My husband suggested putting on a dual exaust so I got magnaflow cat back. It's louder than I thought it would be but I love the power. Was thinking about a new air intake but I don't want it to be too loud. Any suggestions?

no intake is really very loud....
as for which to get i'd say go with K&N. its about $175 but worth it. ive got an intake on my car that was $25...it just gets hot as hell and does nothing but whistle loud.

if not K&N, then ive heard BBK is good and idk if JLT makes one for the V6 but if they do, deffinitly go with theres, its suppose to be better then the other 2 ive mentioned

also another note...just an exhaust on a stock v6 mustang doesnt really give you too much more power...im talking lik 1-5hp

when u guys say it "needs a tune" what exactly gets tuned with a new intake that only gives u 1-5 hp??
and on other upgrades what else gets tuned? timing, fuel or what?

have read a few articles about the 05+ mustangs leaning out on the fuel after installing a cai without tuning, these newer stangs are much more tune specific than the previous years... in fact if you go to the link i posted and look at the CAI below the dynographs there is a message saying that this will not work properly without a tune!

there are a lot of benifits from tuning besides the overall gain of more hp/tq. they can remove the speed limter, adjust rev limiter, provide greater throttle response for the drive by wire cars, alteration of shift points with automatic trans, traction control on/off, alter when the cooling fan comes on and off, adjustments to fuel, changes for gears, tire size corrections.... and many more, maybe speak with vmptuning, they are an authorized vendor on this site and are considered one of the better tuning shops that specializes in the v6 mustang, btw they also offer discounts to site members with numerous tuning options and devices for your vehicle!
