Tranny problem. o.O

Automatic. Okay today I was backing out of my drive way and I got on the road and stopped and put it in "D" and nothing happened. It was like i was in N I hit gas and it just revved. So I shifted back to "P" and then back to D and it took about 3secs but it finally went into gear. I have never had this problem and I drive my car every day. So it has never done this out of about 600 times. I drove the car and played around with the shifter a bit and it wouldnt do it again. So what was wrong???

Car specs
Miles: 14,800
Gas: Full tank
It does need an oil change soon.

I would check the level of fluid in your transmission

Also could this have anything to do with my tune? I recently loaded a new tune from Douglas at bamachips because my old one from him was having tq converter problems (When cruising at 60+ it would lock and unlock every 15secs causing the rpms to flucuate).

tranny fluid check and if your tc was having problems before Id check into that

You know what? all of these aftermarket tunes are great. But ever since I loaded one of them I have had nothing but problems. Pay 50$ for them to screw up your car. I am loading my american muscle tune. That one seemed to atleast make my car act normal.

There is a dipstick for it just like for your oil.

What kind of tuner do you have? If it is an SCT click on the link in my sig and the guy there can help you.

If it is an SCT tuner then Joe can give you 2 years of good custom tunes (that you can data log and perfect) for $40.
