it's going to take a lot of money to compete with an 03-04 Cobra.

check out some our tech threads as odds are your questions have been asked already.
welcome to the forums and hold on tight

More than some, haha.

Getting to 300-400hp without f/i is not doable. You'll be spending upwards of 10 grand to be competing with termis. Now, for 4-5 you can be competing with gts.

(probobly off on my numbers a little, never been that great at pricing mods all the way around.)

You've got the basic principal in that you can just mod the motor. Mod the motor to much with nothing else, you'll break the rear. Don't do suspension, you wont be putting any power to the ground.

All in all on the motor, you could easily spend up to $6,000 and more, with forging, p&p, f/i, and other things.

On an 8.8 rear, not quite sure about price range, but I know the swap itself if you cant do it yourself is a bit pricey and then the actual axel itself, gears, and other components.

Suspension will be/can be the cheapist of all the mods. Springs and CC plates will cost about $4-500.

Hope this helped. Feel free to ask more questions about parts and such, but dont forget, there is also a SEARCH feature! haha.

By the way, welcome to the forums!

FI or a built motor with a crazy n2o set up is needed to keep up with a tirmie, as much as i love n/a it is not really an option to keep up with a termie

300-400 can be done with out fi, 300 is the upper range on a extreme race gas only n/a engine and 400 is in reach with a little spray.

build your engine:
stroke to 4.2 or 4.3
forged internals
port/polish intakes
upgraded cam
upgrade heads

exhaust:
headers (long or short depending on what set up you for for power adder wise)
h-pipe
cat back

rear end build:
8.8 inch rear
detroit truetrac
31 spline axels
gears

Power Adders:
Turbo
Supercharger
Nitrous

dont sure if you have auto or manual tranny but that will need upgrading as well

same with brakes and suspension

you will also need a flash tuner (sct or sniper) and a dyno tune

im sure i left out something but thats most of it

your best option is to start typing with normal font, then do some research on forced induction units, Turbos, Supercharges... you know... then after that come back with the new questions you have

You say thats all, but honestly, whats the price to do all of that. And your saying no suspension or brake work or anything else would need to be done?

chris you make it sound too easy

you know it's not, o just get a turbo @ 10psi man

how about gearing? piping? hours of tuning? labor if you don't know how to do it..
it's not as simple as you try to make it sound.

besides I got $50.00 for a pully bitch wassup now?
