3k stall is perfect for our car. get a j-mod to help things out. i might be selling mine in the weeks to come. its a precision industries 3000 stall stallion torque converter. its a multi-disk lock-up converter that sells for over $900. its top of the line. if you want it go ahead and make an offer. theres nothing wrong with it and it only has a few thousand miles on it. im selling it to buy some bv cylinder heads because i just found out some people that will install them for free.

oh but i would start with some gears, t-lok, and at least a tuner. then some lca's. then the stall. that was my plan at least.

3000 is ridiculously high for a stock v6, maybe if your off foot break and only seeing like 2400 out of it but why would you install a new TC with out a transbrake is beyond me.

04 IDK what your plans are but 2600-2800 will be about perfect

foot braking, it will only stall at about 2400-2600rpm.

raises the stall on your Torque converter so you can see higher rpms on your launch. with your m-90 id get one and a shift kit, a 2800rpm stall and a transbrake you will have a nasty launch

I have a Precision Industries Torque converter with 2800 and it bogged at certain RPM's if it shifted into 3rd too fast. I looked into modding my settings with my DiabloSport Tuner and it fixed everything. (Torque Modulation, shiftpoints, Etc..). This thing shoots and shifts so fast at WOT now I just love it. I just need to get a TLok cause it widened my power band as well and I burn the tires too much. If someone told me I could make this little v6 this fast i wouldn't have believed them. Ford tech thought I had a V8 in it until he opened up the hood . I need a Trans cooler Big time though I think.
I added a deeper pan and synthetic ATF but everytime I pull into the garage I smell tranny fluid and it's not leaking so the Deep Pan wasn't enough and so I guess I'm just smelling hot fluid which is not good. Anyone have a preference for what Trans Cooler to go with ??? Please help, Thanks, 03VertStangr

Howdy, The AODE and 4R70W didn't come along until later. You most likely have a AOD.
The electronics are the biggest difference. Like I can use my DiabloSport Tuner to change things like axle/gear ratio, wheel/tire size/torque modulation, shift firmness, shift points, etc... You would have to add a new valve body, shift kit etc... and if you change the gears in your rear end there's a part (can't think of the name of it right now), that you'd have to buy to get your speedometer to read correctly.

Howdy,
sorry it took so...long to reply. I've been having way too many health problems. Just got pain pump installed and it's hurtin for certain. They will fill it up next week thank God.
It hurts the worst when I sit and if I stay on my feet too long, it makes my blood pressure shoot up - had to go into ER yesterday, yikes ! They shot stuff in through my IV and I was out of trouble pretty fast.
I know that I spend too much time spinning tires at this point. How much time I spend burning the rubber would be a good way to see. I may get a stop watch to see how much time that really is. I want to get a used set of racing rims at the wrecking yard if I can. I don't have alot of money due to overwhelming medical bills. My fastest time so far is 14.9 and I'd like to get that down some more like about 13.9 etc...
I bought the B&M Super Cooler so that my fluid will stay cooler. I Love my DiabloSport tuner. It turned a otherwize lousy tranny into a cool one with all the mods you can do.
Have a good one !
