since my car is auto and i cant really drop the clutch at mid rpms, is it bad to get the rpms up to ~2500 while in neutral then put it in drive?

not with a procharger, vortech or novi s/c
there is "lag"

turbos like load, 4.10s is no load really well there is but 3.27s will be fine
plus with 9psi who needs gears at 350-370rwhp stock motor

Properly sized turbo will build boost before most superchargers.

You should be specific, a "positive displacement" s/c is power on tap.

And 2500 neutral and putting it into drive is THE ABSOLUTE WORSE THING YOU CAN DO TO YOUR AUTO. maybe reverse from 100mph would be worse but you get the idea.
