Question

help with modding a V6 stang,


I got a 2000 V6 mustang with a crap load of miles like 95000 haha.
Where should I start at? I got Hancock tires now, Cold air intake and somewhat of a dual exhaust. Lol long story about that I’m looking to just own GTs cobras too far for me haha. So can any help me out.

easiest way, s/c or turbo your getting up in the miles so you could just throw a built 4.2l and s/c it

i have 119k miles and run 14.7 (with new edge gt's). you have two options: full bolt ons and drag radials or supercharger/nitrous/turbo...

or a 4.2L motor from super six motorsports

so there my problem i really dont know much all about that stuff i moslty know the little things about car. ive own the car now for a year so im can of new to the old mustangs. my family mostly works on 68s and 69s i got a 68 fastback chillen im my garge wait to be work on. i cant do much because of money haha like always. but ya how i can i get to know turbos and s/c better. im a young kid trying to be good wow.

I gotta admit he does have a nice sixer, scared me at work one day I thought my car was being stolen. I took a quick glance, and saw a blue Mustang pulling out, and he was trying to park right next to me.

But it seems like he wants a turbo...or two. So I'm waitin on Chris to get in here and shed some light or someone to shed some light.

in essence both make power by compressing air and forcing it into the engine. Turbo compresses the air by using pressurized exhaust gas to spin a turbine and force it into the engine. The S/C does the same thing only it is driven off a belt and uses no exhaust gas.

if money is tight I suggest nitrous. I run 13.9's on a 800 dollar setup which is enough to beat any stock pre 05 gt

STOCK pre gt's that don't have amazing drivers.

I might be able to take ya after I get some track experience. I dunno. We'll have to see.

Remember that full bolt ons, plus gears will get you to beat stock GT's of your model. You may not make as much power, but your lighter, and with the acceleration that gears give really makes a difference.

haha ya there was a big ass suv park next to me i had to get the passnger side. i thought i was going to hit ur car, but when i was pulling up i was like hy that my gt i want it haha. but i really like ur gt man it sweet the interior i mite have to do something about it haha. hy i heard there a blue twin turbo v6 stang around u know of it

GTsetGO(Rob) has a sonic blue GT, but his is a tid bit faster than mine. Same interior also. I've heard of the TT sixxer, but yet to see him.

shed light on what??

exhaust goes through the turbo causing it to spool and compacts air

what else do you need?? do you need to know that TMAturbo.com is back up and running... do you need to know that you can get em for 4G... but they wont last too long

I didn't know TMA was back up.

theres a lot more to turbos to know than that. Such as sizing, reading turbo maps, things like that.
