It's amazing.

I can tell people how to make there car faster and mods to buy and I can price them out and things like that, but I was looking under my hood a few seconds ago, and there so many things I dont know about an engine, haha.

Its kinda sad that I dont know the basics. People were talking about better gas milege and such and how to fix it. They were talking about cleaning filters and things along those lines and I got under there and I realized how little I really knew, haha.

So, someone point me in the right direction for the basics, better gas milege and how to actually do it.

Well im trying to not be that, haha.

Just things like cleaning the MAF and things like that. How do you go about it? Would that affect anything. Im not trying to get into the whole engine just yet, haha.

make sure of the simple things. tire pressure, clean fuel filter, make sure the tires are balanced and aligned the list goes on and on. I agree with GF in saying driving habits have alot to do with it. The less you use your brakes, the better your mileage will be.

Get a shop manual for your car & read over it in your spare time.
It can be an interesting read.

Only problem with online and stuff is, alot of people try to tell you something, when in reality, they have no idea themselves. They're just telling you what they've been told. Never be to careful!
