dyno tuning

so when my new sts turbo system comes i am having it installed and dyno tuned, never had a dyno tune what exacly do they do besides measure hp and tourque?????

just curious its a bit expensive i guess cause it gives u the best results and u get what u pay for

then why cant you just use sniper and then data log then adjust...pretty much same results isnt it

cause no one has taken the time to break down the scion ECU and figure out how to reflash it. Think of it like a rewritable CD and mine just happens to be locked so I have to piggyback it before I can dynotune

you can. you know powerhouse comes with a loaded tune you can use
dyno tuning ensures:

good street driving
good mpg for cruising
a safe WOT
timing
a/f ratio at cruising and WOT
and MAF as well as fuel injectors

You can actually get a custom tune that allows you to drive safely with FI. However, you need a Dyno to really tweak it and make it good. Just think of it as a better way to data log.

Technically you could data log as much as a dyno at home. I've been doing it for the past 4months or so.
