hey guys im having second thoughts on 4.10s. i already ordered them, but i was reading on other mustang forums and people are saying 4.10s are too much for a Daily driver car. i drive city almost 80-90% of the time but every 2-3 weeks i make a 2 hour trip home. do u guys think 4.10s are not good for me?

v606. You've been here less than a month and have over 200 posts. If your going to post, post useful information. Stating the fact that you will be getting 3.55s with a turbo you might be getting doesnt help this discussion at all and is not relevant to this thread.
Not trying to be hard, but posting useless things in the tech section just cluter it up. But to answer your questionm 4.10s are perfectly fine for daily driving. A friend of mine has 4.56s in his 99 cobra and its his daily driver. Last edited by Dansby; April 22nd, 2008 at 12:42 PM. |

i think gears would only hurt mpg on the highway, other than that, your car might cruise around in 3rd rather than 2nd in the city

wow did i just get raped a new one. i took my car to a shop who said that they would do it for 310 bucks and then after they took apart my rear they call me and tell me its gonna be 500. so yes i ended paying 500 hundred f'en dollars for install and no i brought my own gears, tlock, bearing kit. the 500 was for fluids and install only.

no the guy said the mechanic told him it would take longer than what that guy told me so he added 2 hrs of labor which was 95/hr. anyways im really pissed off about that but the good thing is i havent heard any whine at all and it seems to be riding better than before so thats one good thing i can look at.

oh by the way its not like he just went ahead and did it. he asked me first if it was okay to add 2 more hrs of labor, but i mean what the hell am i suppose to say since they already have the rear opened up and shit.
