v606. You've been here less than a month and have over 200 posts. If your going to post, post useful information. Stating the fact that you will be getting 3.55s with a turbo you might be getting doesnt help this discussion at all and is not relevant to this thread.

Not trying to be hard, but posting useless things in the tech section just cluter it up.

But to answer your questionm 4.10s are perfectly fine for daily driving. A friend of mine has 4.56s in his 99 cobra and its his daily driver.

i think gears would only hurt mpg on the highway, other than that, your car might cruise around in 3rd rather than 2nd in the city

Cobras and mach1s have a different axle so the 4.10s dont react the same way on those cars as if they were on the V6 or the GT. 4.10s in a GT manual and yur gonna be shifting out first gear really quick...but in cobras/mach1s its not bad.Thats why alot of them put 4.56s in them.

and yur not a mod, so dont tell people what to do.

wow did i just get raped a new one. i took my car to a shop who said that they would do it for 310 bucks and then after they took apart my rear they call me and tell me its gonna be 500. so yes i ended paying 500 hundred f'en dollars for install and no i brought my own gears, tlock, bearing kit. the 500 was for fluids and install only.

sounds to me you just got screwed. i ask those fucks what was the additional cost for. fluid is 15 dollars a bottle and you need two bottles. unless they found somthing broken, sounds like they are pullin a quick one on you.

no the guy said the mechanic told him it would take longer than what that guy told me so he added 2 hrs of labor which was 95/hr. anyways im really pissed off about that but the good thing is i havent heard any whine at all and it seems to be riding better than before so thats one good thing i can look at.
