high output alternator


i am putting foglights on my mustang and already have gauges in it do i need to get a high output alternator on mine because previously i have turned all the lights up and it has a hard time starting the next time a start it any help is appreicated thanks guys

just for an addition of foglights? no....If you have a high wattage stereo then i would say its prolly a good investment.

Maybe your starter is going if you have trouble starting in the morning.

well i turned down the interior lights (stereo,ac,gears,etc.) and it starts up fine but when i have those and my gauges up it tends to be had to start that time right after

you can also get a capacitor that would prevent your stereo from stealing juice from the battery.

do you have a big stereo system? when deep bass hits, it can drain off your battery...capacitor would make a deep bass hit take power from the cap and not the battery.
