doing long tubes and side exhaust you may not have room for a midpipe...i woudl vote for hpipe if u can, but most side exhausts just do true duals

You mean strait throughs, cuz anything with an h or x pipe is still true dual.
However...+1 you won't have room with the LTs. From what I hear the side exhaust is not the best idea. However, it is your car and if you want 'em go for it. I would say stick with your stock headers (since there's no real point in getting shorties) then, if there's space (which you should just barely have enough) use an h-pipe. Then hook up the mufflers. From there you'll need custom pipes that turn at almost right angles to the side. Also, if you're going to do this, you should get rousch side skirts. Plus there will need to be lots of custom hangers made too, but that's really easy. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

IMHO I really don't care for center exit on a mustang.

i have side exhaust, and have a mid-pipe, and have yet to rip it off. yes the out lets are low to the ground.....but no lower than the rest of the exhaust piping under the car.

my LTs, with a h-pipe, and the borla side exhaust sounds amazing. Gets tons of compliments.

I got pulled over once by the chief of police, and while he was yelling at me for speeding, the assisting officer was circling my car saying how awesome it was. true story.

Shadow, im liken the emblem, haha.

Personally, I dont like side or centered exhaust either. Just doesnt look right, but as all of yall have said, this is just my opinion. Do what you want, its your money.

As your your question, shortys you wont see enough of a difference to spend the money. If your doing headers, go Lts and just have a shop install the headers if your worried about the k-member then do the rest of the exhaust yourself.

Mid pipe with the long tubes, or in most cases, I prefer o/r x, but others will say the o/r h.

thats why i said different
obviously i didn't go that route
side exit IMO should only be on a GT where they can sound good,
v6's need that extra little pipe to sound good from my experiences
