Coolant Leak
Hey guys, well yesterday afternoon after the car show i noticed a coolant smell, and a little smoke. So i opened my hood and saw coolant split EVERYWHERE. So i looked at the hose and everything and couldnt find where it came from. I had my g/f punch the gas and coolant spitted everywhere from a small heater hose behind spark plug wires. So... Im replacing the hose and having trouble and im wondering if anyone can help me make this a whole lot easier...
I got one side off but having trouble with the other side: <- Got that side off and the side where the crack is. <- The Hose <- The side i cant get off.

You need to get the factory style clamp out of the way. Compress it with pliers
and slide it to the middle of the hose. Then grip the stubborn end of the hose with pliers and twist it to loosen it. It should then come off. Or slit it with a utility knife and peel it off. Use screw type clamps to put the hose back on. It looks like all you need is a straight length of heater hose for a replacement. |
