Went by some shops

Well I went by an exhaust shop and talked to them about what I want to do, and they told me that a turbo (just the name of it) exhaust kit by cherry bomb would be good. It would get high flow and it would be not as loud as a gt but louder than what i have now. That is what I want. The exhaust is duals. The price for install and parts would be 450$

I went by the Ford service area and talked to the guy from Ford Racing about differentials and gears. I need to the the 8.8" if I get the turbo. The 8.8" comes with 3.55 gears. That runs at 1,400$. If i got the 3.73 gears, total would be about 1,700$.

I guess my question would be, should I spend the extra money and get the 3.73's, or would it not really matter with the turbo?

CLiffnotes:
Exhaust: 450$
8.8" which comes with 3.55=1400$
----3.73's would bump that to 1700$
Is it worth it the get 3.73's when i get a turbo?

That sounds a tad bit expensive for adding the gears. But if you're going forced induction, 3.73 gears and a strong rear end would be a good thing to have. It'll all depend on how much HP you're aiming for as far as the 8.8 rear end goes.

dont buy the 8.8 from ford get it from the link that chris posted, and for your exhaust get it done custom with your turbo and dont get cherry bomb mufflers on a 6

cuz cherry bombs will sound like shit, just stick wit a more popular muffler. magnaflow, mac, flows, borla, bassani, etc are all popular for a reason

actually the cherry bomb turbo doesnt sound bad at all. my friends gf has a 01 v6 with a cherry bomb dump exhaust and it doesnt sound bad but its not as throaty or as loud as flowmaster, mac, borla, magnaflow, etc.

o, well thats what i want. I really dont want loud exhaust. I just want a fast ass car, not one that gives me a headache to drive

lol ya i see what your saying. Im not sure what it will sound like on an 05+ model though. Check youtube for exhaust sounds.

exhaust is gonna be an opinion thing anyway...the more popular mufflers are popular bc they sound good to more people, but if u want the cherry shits then more power to ya post some clips after gettin em

dont get 3.73 with turbo. 3.55 should be the max you go. 3.55 or 3.31 as chris said would be good. and dont get cherry bomb exhaust.
