All Help Needed, Spider Gear installation someone please

okay, imma try to put this whole story here,
diesels mustang shredded the two of his spider gears inside the rear diff, (neutral slam), we got new spiders gears from the dealer ship and installed them,
sides went on first
top spider gear then went on
bottom wont just wont seem to slip in there,

I didnt want to replace the spider gears, at complete rear end would have been the best thing in the world but junkyard didnt have one and im the one payin for his shit right now, (HES GOING TO PAY ME BACK, I HOPE) hes a friend,
75.00 for the new spiders gears, how can i get the last one in? is there some trick to it?

we have the haynes manual but it doesnt say how to remove or install spider gears, all it talks about is removing the axle shafts which is the only reason it even shows the rear differential.....this sucks,

no no
you have to put the side spider gears first those are the bigger ones
then the small spider gears: WHERE ITS OPEN put them on the EXACT opposite side. if its not EXACTLY across from each other the carrier pin will not slide through fully
once directly opposite on the open side turn them with the side gears so it slides in the carrier til its lines up with the carrier hole to slip the pin through

i hope you know where each shim goes and to measure the back lash.
also do not forget the c-clips

stock the rear end only has 2 shims one on each side. if your installing a new unit the stock shims are useless

the space between ring gear teeth and the pinon gear. if its not correct you'll burn up the gears or destroy them
how many shims do you have...

so like more of a job then what was initially thought, imma send his car to the shop now because no matter what we seem to do that one other spider gear doesnt seem to want to go in, two shims came with the set, along with the screw that goes into the piston that shoots down between the two,

bot spider gears(smaller ones) must go in at the same time...its super easy if you follow what i said

I don't think they took the carrier out, so setting the backlash is not necessary. I think the gears can be replaced with the carrier installed.

To clarify what you said above, I think you are saying to put in the side gears first, then position the two smaller gears and turn the side gears to get them in mesh and to line them up to reinstall the pin.
