There is platinum in catalytic converters. A crackhead taught my friend this valuable lesson when he came out one day and the entire exhaust from the end of the cat out was laying on the ground and the cats were missing. Bet that crackhead got really messed up that night though.

i just called around and found a recycling yard. and they amount they give you depends on th size and condition of them. but if you have a lot you can make a good bit of money off them.

And yes the platinum in them is worth quite a bit and is a material in short supply. In fact at present the total world supply is not enough to transition to fuel cell powered cars. |
