um don't sell it for less then 100
i know that sounds high but i cut out my cats and took them to a recycling place and got $110 for them

There is platinum in catalytic converters. A crackhead taught my friend this valuable lesson when he came out one day and the entire exhaust from the end of the cat out was laying on the ground and the cats were missing. Bet that crackhead got really messed up that night though.

This is what a new one costs and I don't think it includes the o2 sensors.

This is why I have my doubts about people who are cutting the cats out. You're throwing away $1K worth of parts.

And yes the platinum in them is worth quite a bit and is a material in short supply. In fact at present the total world supply is not enough to transition to fuel cell powered cars.
