2 Questions

right, so i drive a 2002 manual v6 all stock. well i bought it used from a dealership and from the first time i started it to this very day there is a clicking noise which sounds like its comming from directly infront of the firewall in the general area where the engine and tranny connect. it makes the noise everytime i start the car and the noise says until i reach around 20 mph, but was it goes away its gone. any ideas wut the problem could be?

also about a month ago it started making a deeper clicking noise that sounds like is directly behind the odometer or somewhere near the stearing colum when i apply pressure on the brakes. it only happens every now and then and it depends on how hard i press the brake. it usually occurs when i apply pressure between barly hitting the brakes and slamming on the brakes. once again any ideas?

hmm, ive never heard of anything like that....
i dont understand your first question...you sed its coming from the front firewall right next to where the engine and tranny connect...thats 2 different spots...
i would take it back to the dealer...i woulda taken it back the day i heard it tho....didnt you test drive it?

well unfortunatly my digital camera doesnt record sound, but i listened to the clicking more with the hood up and have determined that it is comming from somewhere around the intake manifold.

you most likely have an intake manifold leak.
it should be idle at 750

ok well i found one loose hose, tighten it, crank the car. clicking still there. although i have discovered that if i let the car idle for about 45 secounds it stops, and that if i just get in and the clicking is gets louder until it fades away. i read in the owners manuel that the standards need approx. 5 minutes of warm up time? maybe thats the cause of clicking, it just needs to warm up a bit. idk.
