The IAT has nothing to do with more performance or response. I'm lookin for a picture of it now.

Alright this is your IAT
All it is is pretty much a thermometer. Moving it around won't do anything. The best thing you can do to get more power out of something electrical is just a new engine tune with the SCT Xcal2. Talk to Justin and he will set you up the right way.

ive been told thats its possible that the IAT sensor on my stang might be built into the MAF if its not is there a way you can tell me were this sensor might be located in the engine or a rough estimate more or less because i can tell you know its not on the intake only the maf is there and im positive its not on the TB so anywere else it might be if you can let me know that would be awesome thanks

the chips are just how the mod your car do the same thing but sct has alot more options thats all, the gears um kinda like timing your gears differently you'll have ot shift sooner compared to b4
imagine a big crank pulley and a small one. the small one has to go around 4.10 turns to one turn of the big wheel now that little crank is hooked up the wheels only problem is sometime the shifting can be too fast for a manual thing i'm gona try 4.10's on my 5-speed but i dunno might be a waste haha people recommend 4.10 for auto and 3.73 for manual. hope that helped a bit if not just google up gear ratios theres some websites that will explain it better with pictures

ok ok heres my help if it works... i would recommend getting the sct tuner from jason at vmp tuning on this website, they are great to deal with from others on here saying that. the diablo chip is just sumptin u plug into your ecu and u get "upgrades" the sct will allow u to change anything u want that it can with the push of a few buttons from what i understand.
Now for gears! the long and boring discussion on them... 3.73 for manuals and 4.10 for autos, some say dont fear the gear and go 4.10 or bust, to be safe 3.73 is enough for a DD manual. since u are a 2006 stang, i think u are set and 3.27 stock gear ratio. uping it to 3.73 would be a little jump but 4.10 would give u seat of your pants acceleration, idk if its safer to do the 4.10 in 05+ stangs do to rpm redlines, im sure someone will fill it in. To come close to your goal i would start off by building from the back forward, something i was told to do if i wanted a powerful machine. Why have the power if ur rearend can't handle it RIGHT? Start off with the gears, and a t-lok on your 7.5" rearend or swap out to the 8.8" rear that doesn't need t-lok. then work forward like i said, next could be the exhaust... headers, midpipe, catback of choice.... Underdrive pulley... cold air intake... or just go the power packs like stated in other threads if u need more help don't be shy we are here to help our fellow mustang enthusiasts

we are talking about the rear end differential. The 8.8 is loads stronger than the 7.5 and will handle higher hp applications.

the 8.8 holds more HP than the 7.5, i would personally go with the sct instead of the chip, and by going with a 8.8 u would have to swap out your whole rear axle
