removing air silencer?

ok so ive read some posts about this already, but just needed to ask anyway. im planning on doing a full h/c/i swap. im also gona have a 65mm halfshafted throttle body. i have a k&n high flow filter. i read in the newest mmff mag that removing the air silencer on a 5.0 gained almost 100 cfm. would it benefit me at this point to remove the silencer? it couldnt hurt since im getting more air into the intake right?

Increasing the ability to flow more total CFM will only help to achieve higher RPMs.

he bought a CIA off of ebay hasnt got it yet..but he s like yea i def got your mustang now i mean it adds eight horse power.

oo dont forget his exhaust..glassback...guy told him it was more back preassure so it d give him another 10 hp...

you can always believe what you read man..
people will tell you anything to get you to buy their product.
they dont think people actually get around to dynos so their i no way to acutally tell that their is no difference

guys i didnt say anything about gaining 10hp from it. im not expecting to notice any difference at all. but the silencer does restrict our cars somewhat and removing it should allow a little more air to flow in it. im not reading exaggerated hp claims, it was just one of the feature articles where it was actually tested on a 5.0. im just wondering how much itll help with my car.

i was told its bad to remove it because its there to break up the density of the air so your MAF can get a more accurate reading of the actually air intake...if this is true...idk...i took mine off cause it came off so i left it off so idk ha
