aluminum driveshaft...

sure you've all talked bout this already but where can i find an aluminum drive shaft for my 97/auto sixer? can you get one off another model car at all? I've read they are noticeable over stock. I am also interested in 373 gears , can i use the 373's out of a 97 ford ranger with a 7.5 r-end? thanks

yes if its a 7.5
a GT drive shaft will work for your sixer, but since your an auto you'll need to change the yokes to make it fit

SN95,96 - 04 GT's, I don't think your going to find a aluminum drive shaft in a wrecking yard, you can check some of the other Mustang forums classifieds for one, thats the way I found one.

Don't get used gears. they will have a wear pattern on them that will be different than you car's. It is just better to buy new. They're not that expensive. As for the driveshaft, good luck finding that in a salvage yard. Who knows though you might get lucky.

I've seen them come into my yard a couple of times, but it's pretty unlikely. I'll keep an eye out if you want though.
