hey man i dont have the exact same ,but close and its not gonna be a huge gain but the rpms got there a little quicker than stock and i felt purdy kool so go for it. I also have dual exaust so personaly i think it flows way more than stock but should be worth it.

they don't really produce much gains one a stock sixer, if any, but the sound cool and look good. It's a good place to start modding. I'm glad I got mine.

Yup, much better bang for your buck. CAI cost $80-$150 and gain you maybe 2-3 hp and 2-3 ft/lbs torque on a stock car.

I don't think he's asking IF he should get a CAI. I think that he wants one. He's just looking for a good one at a good price. BTW...since the days of the good e-bay CAIs is over...the AM CAI is a good CAI at a good price. Go for it man. As said, don't expect a huge difference. But I think that you will be happy with it.

You do have a good point. However, I'm pretty sure he can install his own CAI. He might have to pay to have the gears installed. While I agree it is a better mod for the buck, it requires quite a few more bucks, and doesn't give that same feeling of satisfaction that you get from doing something yourself. Plus, if he doesn't know yet if he's going to be going for big power in the future, it is better to hold off on gears until he knows whether or not he'll need an 8.8.

Cai is the dumbest mod unless you get a tuner with it. I say buy a tuner first.

Click on the link in my sig. All your tuner questions will be answered there. I have a CAI and a true dual exhaust. With those mods I saw about 20 more HP and 20 more TQ(from the tuner). The more mods you get the more and more and more power the tuner will be able to give you. I can tell you hands down that the tuner will give you more of a power gain to an unmodified car than a CAI will. I would say that you should get an SCT XCAL 2 or 3. they are VERY easy to use and they are some of the very best tuners for our cars. If you get your tuner from the sight in my sig then they guy there will custom tune your car for you as many times as you want for 2 years free. After that you can get another two years for only $40. The guy who runs that sight will be able to walk you through data logging, and will tell you everything else that you need to know. Hope this is helpful. A tuner is a really great mod!

I bought the exact looking one from EBAY for my 00 model for like, 30 bucks. More than likely will come with a BOMZ filter, etc. But like they said, I woulda went for gears or tlock first.

As stated above, CAI's dont do too much. They allow for better gas mileage, look good, and make a cool lil whistle haha. On the serious side of things...Tuner=usually 10-20% increase in numbers. The more mods, the more of that % increase. Sniper makes a nice one called the special forces. It allows you to create ur own tunes based on mods to ur car. Its REALLY easy and includes EVERYTHING needed to do so. Gears and T-lock are good, however, ur future for ur car and mods should be kept in mind as well.
