oil leak

My fuckin car is leaking oil
I have a few drops and shit under the engine
and farther back towards the muffler there is a nice nice puddle
I moved my car and you can clearly see a line of oil just by moving it 5 feet
I havent had a chance to try and find out what it is but do you guys have any ideas on what it could be

i thought that it could be a bad plug or oil pan gasket
but i dont no there is no sign that the car is bad the check engine light came on the other day but it runs fine there are no signs of anything wrong except the oil leak

First is it oil or trans fluid. Trans fluid is red. Also check the fluid levels in both the engine and transmission to tell which is leaking.

Another thing to check for is a leaking oil filter.

Don't drive it till you confirm there is adequate oil!

I would replace the oil filter and fill it with oil then start it with it jacked up and see where it's leaking. It could be a leaking oil filter, which would then be fixed. It almost has to be oil under pressure to leak that fast. Pressurized oil goes through the front cover gasket, but I wouldn't expect it to leak that fast.

+1 DON'T DRIVE IT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have to go to a mechanic, have it towed. If you're going to work on it yourself, you should completely fill it with oil. It is never good to have the car running without it. Plus, that will give you a chance to get under there and see whats wrong. If it is leaking like you say it is, it shouldn't be hard at all to figure out where it's coming from. Good luck man.

The filter shouldn't come loose by its self. None-the-less at least check that the gasket is in place and the filter is tight. Things like this do happen.

In any case fill it with oil and see where it is leaking.
