i have a couple of questions. if i put a cai (K&N) and exhaust (flowmaster) in my car. Do i need to get my car tuned, becuz a friend told me that i have too or my car will mess up, i want my car to be faster but don't want to ruin it, also would i be able to drive in the rain with a cai? if i need to get tuning who would do it?

No, no tune will be needed for just those 2 mods. A tune will always help your car, but you dont NEED it with just that. Your car will run just fine with out it. Later on down the road, if you continue to mod, you will eventually need to get one.

yes you can drive in the rain with a CAI
and what year is you car,

because if it is a 05+ i tune would be a good idea, but if not you don't need it.

also for the cai if it is a 05+ i hear better things about the JLT's over the K&N's
and if it is a 94-98 just get the cheapest cai you can and a good filter for it and you are set.

As already said you can drive in the rain and no you don't need a tuner. However, I would recommend a tuner. You'll actually see more performance gains from a good tuner with a custom tune (without getting any mods) than you would from getting a CAI and exhaust without the tuner. Of course your gains will be even bigger if you get all three. To answer your question about where to go for a tuner...click on this link Trick Tuners, SCT Flash Tuners, SCT Flash Custom Tuning, PLX Devices widebands and gauges, SCT Flash tuners, SCT Xcal2, sct livewire, sct xcalibrator That site will tell you all you need to know about tuners. Also, you'll get the best deals there as well as really good quality tunes. Tell them that you are an MM member and you'll get a good discount. Also +1 K&N is overpriced and you're better off with a fenderwell style CAI anyway. Check out Mustang Parts & Performance - American Muscle. They have a good CAI for a pretty good price. You can also get a discount there for being an MM member(PM me for more details about that). Also, Welcome to MM!

The e-bay deals no longer exist. The only ones cheap on e-bay now are total shit.

thanks for the info on tuners. i'm always on americanmuscle.com so i've seen some tuners on there. i will probably get the exhaust and intake first though. maybe a tuner later, i'm 17 and don't have much money so. as for the intake, i will go with the K&N or BBK.

Good choice. As for the tuner, you'll be able to get it cheaper and with beter tuning at tricktuners than you can at AM.
